In this program the idiosyncratic Balliett Brothers re-set Schubert’s final masterpiece Schwanengesang in their own musical voices, and Katherine Balch’s new work takes a new look at Schumann’s masterful Dichterliebe from the female’s perspective, with newly commissioned poetry by Katie Ford.
