Rebecca Myers
Soprano Rebecca Myers is a soloist, collaborator, recording artist, and creator in high demand. Indulging and specializing in vocal repertoire spanning from the Medieval to scores written especially for her, Rebecca has gained a reputation for her “timbral clarity and flawless pitch”, “nimble coloratura” and “vulnerability and grace”. In 2023 Rebecca was a featured soloist on the GRAMMY award winning album Born, recorded with The Crossing. She made her New World Symphony Debut under the baton of Patrick Dupre Quigley in 2023 as soprano soloist in Carmina Burana. In July of 2023 Rebecca made her debut with Verità Baroque for the European premiere of Philip Lasser’s The Mask in the Mirror at the historic Institute de France.
Ever ready to tackle a wide range of repertoire, Rebecca’s 2023/2024 season includes an exciting lineup of performances around the world. Notable contemporary music engagements include two engagments with The Crossing, including the world premiere of Sin Eater, by David T. Little, and the world premiere of Benjamin Perry Wenzelberg’s Any of Those Decembers for four solo voices, string quartet, and piano with Lyric Fest. Early and Baroque performance highlights include her debut role as Vagaus in Vivaldi’s rarely performed Juditha Triumphans with Tempesta di Mare, several solos and ensemble appearances with Seraphic Fire; including the two week long Enlightenment Festival, an appearance with TENET Vocal Artists, soprano soloist for Bach’s St. John Passion with the CalPoly Bach Festival, and Handel’s Messiah with Ensemble Altera.
Rebecca is the Artistic Director, and a founding soprano in the genre-bending, cutting-edge vocal chamber ensemble, Variant 6. The ensemble seeks to change perceptions of what a vocal ensemble can be by presenting virtuosic and obscure works from all eras of history in new and surprising ways.
Rebecca has appeared on over twenty-five acclaimed commercial recordings with The Crossing, Variant 6, Seraphic Fire, Lyric Fest, and Lorelei Ensemble. She appears on two GRAMMY award winning albums (best choral performance 2018 and 2022) and eight GRAMMY award nominated albums.
